    A popular camping spot in Dumfries and Galloway has just been named Scottish Campsite of the Year by the AA for 2021. Brighouse Bay Holiday Park in Brighouse Bay beat out tough competition from across Scotland to be named top in the prestigious hospitality guide’s Caravan and Camping Awards. AA inspectors said the family-owned all-year pet-friendly holiday park was a worthy winner, describing it as a “top-class park” that has a country park feel and enjoys a “marvellous coastal setting adjacent to the beach with superb views”.     Manair river will be world-class tourist spot: Gangula Kamalakar

    Hyderabad: State government would develop Manair river as the best tourist spot in the country, said Backward Classes Welfare Minister Gangula Kamalakar here on Saturday. Reviewing the progress of works pertaining to the Manair River Front (MRF) with officials of Irrigation, Revenue and Tourism departments here, the Minister discussed various issues such as land acquisition and construction of retaining wall apart from finalisation of Detailed Project Report (DPR). The Minister discussed construction of retaining wall along with its height, width and depth even if 80,000 cusecs to 3.50 lakh cusecs of water is released. Officials analysed 100 years of data

    Former Cold War Radar Base in UP Could Become Tourism Spot | Michigan News

    EAGLE HARBOR, Mich. (AP) — A group of Michigan Tech University alumni have submitted the winning bid for a former U.S. Air Force radar station in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula they hope can become a tourist destination. The bid last week was $227,000, The Daily Mining Gazette reported, citing a statement from Keweenaw County, which controls the property. The former base, which has more than 100 acres in Eagle Harbor Township, is known locally as Mount Horace Greeley. For nearly 40 years, it served as a radar station during the Cold War with the Soviet Union. The winning bidder was identified
