In many places across the country, camping is a summertime activity; once the leaves turn, the weather makes overnight stays in the great outdoors uncomfortable, to say the least! Southern Utah offers some of the best camping during fall months, and this little log cabin campground in Panguitch offers some nice accommodations, surrounded by incredible outdoor recreation.
During these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket list to visit at a later date.
Panguitch is a little town that’s conveniently located next to the Dixie National Forest and Cedar Breaks National Monument, and just up the road from Bryce Canyon National Park.
The campground offers sites for tents and RVs, and also has several adorable log cabins.
Each charming camping cabin features a pretty front porch with a swing.
These rustic dwellings have a set of bunkbeds and a full-sized bed, and can accommodate up to four guests.
A heater keeps you warm on chilly fall evenings, and a ceiling fan keeps the cabin cool during the middle of the day. Bring your own sleeping bags and pillows.
If you’re looking for a more luxurious camping experience, book a deluxe cabin. Each two-bedroom lodge includes beds to accommodate up to six guests, and has a full kitchen and two bathrooms.
Deluxe cabins also have a fire pit, BBQ grill, and sitting area outside.
The campground is dog-friendly, and you’ll even find a few cabins where you can stay with your pup!
Shady tress offer respite during the middle of the day…
…and from Memorial Day to Labor Day, you can cool off in the swimming pool, too!
If you’re visiting in the fall, you’ll still enjoy plenty of fun activities. Throw some horseshoes…
…play endless rounds of cornhole…
…and challenge your family to a volleyball game.
Of course, you’ll also want to spend a lot of time exploring the nearby state and national parks!
The Panguitch KOA Holiday Campground is fun year-round, but it’s especially beautiful during autumn months. Make plans to stay there this fall!
Are you ready to head to Panguitch? Book your campsite on the KOA website, then head on over to its Facebook page to see what fun new activities are planned for this week! While you’re in town, make sure to visit Kenny Ray’s, which has delicious food and incredible pies.
