In the travel world, we get an extra day of sales beyond the usual Black Friday and Cyber Monday, simply called Travel Tuesday. Filled with extended Cyber Monday deals and dedicated Travel Tuesday savings, travelers can find even more discounts today. You’ll find sales from a number of hotels, cruise lines, trains, and airlines—including some Readers’ Choice Award winners—below. Some of the sales last well into December, if you don’t have your 2022 travel calendar quite planned out just yet, and others apply to the next two months of travel, perfect for last-minute holiday trips and giving the gift of travel. Whether you’re booking for now or later, there are plenty of deals to be had, from domestic hotels to far-off cruise itineraries. Looking to sail on one of the most high-tech ships out there? Look to the Celebrity Apex, the latest mega-ship to hit the seas. The ship, along with the rest of Celebrity cruise ships, are offering major discounts on sailing between December 18 and March 31, 2023—the largest booking window we’ve seen. If you book by November 30, you’ll get 50 percent off your second guest’s fare, along with up to $300 on-board credit, depending on the length of your cruise. Good for sailings in the Caribbean and Europe, you’ll have plenty to chose from, though we’d check out the Apex and book a 12-night tour of Iceland and Ireland next summer.
Hurtigruten has doubled down on its commitment to sustainability in recent years, launching two hybrid-powered ships (the MS Roald Amundsen and MS Fridtjof Nansen). Itineraries on both of those ships, along with all of the line’s expedition cruises, are up to 50 percent off for Black Friday—and the cruise line has dropped its deposit down to 10 percent during the sale. A sailing that circumnavigates Svalbard on a search for polar bears is just $8,527 (about 30 percent off), while a nine-day wellness repositioning cruise from Nova Scotia to Panama is just $960 per person (50 percent off).
Seabourn Cruise Line
Seabourn recently won Readers’ Choice Awards for both medium and small ships—and select sailings through next summer are now on sale. You can score up to $1,000 off per person on Seabourn’s Veranda and Ocean View suites and up to $1,000 in shipboard credit per suite. The sale runs through November 30. There are tons of great itineraries on sale, including a cruise around the Greek isles and an itinerary that takes you through the Panama Canal with stops in Colombia and Costa Rica.
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises
We’re a fan of Uniworld’s excursions, which offer passengers the opportunity to get a little closer to the destinations on their itinerary, with visits to local homes, farms, and artisans. Luckily, you can experience them for yourself and score savings of up to $5,000 per person on select 2022 voyages, if you pay in full at the time of booking. The sale is good through November 30, and includes a ton incredible itineraries, like a 13-day trip from New Delhi to Kolkata (now just $4,999 per person) and an 11-day round-trip adventure through the Peruvian Amazon (on sale for $10,499 per person).
Abercrombie & Kent
Luxury tour operator Abercrombie & Kent is launching its Private Escapes Sale on Cyber Monday with an entire week of savings on 2022 itineraries. Deals include 30 to 50 percent off of trips to destinations like Botswana, Chile, Egypt, Tanzania, Turkey, and Peru—plus the sale lasts until December 3 at 4 p.m. CST. While trips beyond the U.S. are well worth exploring, A&K plans an incredible road trip too, so don’t overlook domestic travels from these specialists.
Book at Abercrombie & Kent
A tour company that caters to 18- to 35-year-olds, Contiki is offering up to 30 percent off on more than half of its group travel itineraries. With trips to six of the seven continents, you’ve got a lot to choose from, including weekend excursions, month-long adventures, and two-week vacations in destinations like Zimbabwe, Malaysia, and Croatia. And if you’re worried about going it alone on one of the tours, know that about 70 percent of Contiki travelers are embarking solo.
Looking to bounce around Europe next year? The Eurail Pass just made it easier (and cheaper) with its Black Friday sale. The Global Pass—which allows travelers to explore 33 European countries, from Turkey to Italy to Finland—is now 10 percent off. As Traveler contributor Blane Bachelor explains in our guide to using the pass, you book the Global Pass based on how many days within a certain window you’ll be traveling—and on those days you can take as many trains as you’d like. The passes start at four days within one month (originally $288, now $259), while the most popular pass which covers 10 travel days over two months (originally $469, now $422). The sale extends long past Black Friday (until January 3), making it a great holiday present for the 2022 graduates or remote workers in your life.
TAP Air Portugal
Through Travel Tuesday, TAP Air Portugal is offering a 20 percent discount on all of its routes. The deal is valid for travel between January 16 and May 31 (with some blackout dates in late February, early March, and most of April). The airline flies from the U.S. to Portugal, of course, as well as to the Azores, Portugal’s Atlantic islands; Morocco; and most of Europe (with a stop in Lisbon).
Southwest is having a mega-sale with one-way flights from just $39. You have until midnight CT on December 2 to book, but seats are limited so book now if you’re planning around specific dates or an event. The sale applies to travel between January 5 and March 9, and includes flights to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and many of Southwest’s international destinations. In perusing the low fare calendar, we could find $39 one-ways between Los Angeles and San Francisco, between Atlanta and Nashville. Plus, flights from the West Coast to the Bozeman, Montana airport (a gateway to Yellowstone) were under $100 one-way, as were flights from southern California to Honolulu. Remember that on Southwest, two checked bags fly free, so you’re saving even more in fees.
Alaia Belize, Autograph Collection, Belize
The Alaia Belize, an Autograph Collection hotel that opened in May 2021, is offering 20 percent off all rooms during the week of Thanksgiving. The deal is good for stays between December 1-22 and January 3-31 (when temperature highs are still in the 80s). Be sure to visit the dive shop to plan snorkeling and scuba diving excursions (including a number of PADI certification sessions); the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System is just a few hundred yards offshore.
Cape Fahn, Thailand
Back in fall 2019, we called out Cape Fahn, a private island off of Thailand’s popular Koh Samui, as one of the hottest openings of the season. The resort, with its relaxing lanais and three saltwater pools, has weathered the pandemic and is welcoming guests back, now that Thailand has reopened its borders. To celebrate, the resort is offering a “Welcome Back” deal, which includes a 50 percent discount on the best available rate, daily breakfast, and complimentary access to non-motorized water sports. Cielo Lodge, Costa Rica
A Hot List winner in 2021, the Cielo Lodge is a stunning open-air sanctuary set among 380 acres of Costa Rican rainforest. Perfect for a honeymoon or romantic getaway, the resort is offering 30 percent discounts on stays of three nights or more in its Canopy Suites. Use promo code “CIELOTHIRTY” now through December 31 for stays between January 7 and April 30. Be sure to contact the hotel to book one of their many planned, local-led experiences, which include whale and dolphin watching tours, private surfing lessons, and guided hikes at a nearby national park.
This deal kicked off on November 16, but it’s worth planning around because all of CitizenM’s hotel rooms will be up to 30 percent off during its extended Black Friday sale. (If you sign up for CitizenM’s membership or use the app, you’ll get an even higher discount, up to 33 percent off.) The deal runs through November 30 and applies to travel between November 18 and April 30. Known for petite (like 150-square-foot) but well-designed rooms and bustling public spaces, CitizenM has hotels across the globe, notably in city centers where boutique hotels can cost a pretty penny. Book rooms at their newest hotels (the Downtown Los Angeles and San Francisco Union Square locations) or one of the tried and true spots in Glasgow, Scotland, or Taipei.
Hyatt fans can get holiday savings with a 10 to 15 percent discount on stays at more than 850 hotels in the Hyatt universe, including Andaz and Thompson hotels, among others. Just look for the “Lock in savings. Unlock the possibilities” deal on each hotel’s offers page. The deal applies to stays between November 10 and April 30. If you want even more of a discount, register for the World of Hyatt loyalty program if you’re not already and book at a participating hotel by December 21. Trying to decide which hotel to book? The Bahamas’ beachfront Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, the Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya in Mexico, and the Thompson Dallas, a 2021 Hot List–winner, are all offering 15 percent off stays.
Kimpton is joining the Cyber Week fray, offering 25 percent off stays at select hotels between November 26 and April 30. The sale, which runs through December 6, includes properties like the Kimpton Vividora in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter; Ella’s Cottages, Kimpton’s set of 22 private bungalows in Key West; Austin’s Hotel Van Zandt; and the design-centric Kimpton Da An in Taipei. Plus, with every booking, Kimpton will donate $5 per night to No Kid Hungry, a nonprofit working to end child hunger in the U.S.
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts
Rosewood’s Black Friday deal is split into two categories: Urban hotels are up to 50 percent off, while resorts are up to 30 percent off. The sale, which runs through November 30, applies to stays booked between now and June 30—just use promo code “CYBER21” at checkout. Wondering what hotel to book? We’d snag a few nights at the recently renovated Rosewood Little Dix Bay in the British Virgin Islands or plan a weekend jaunt to London to stay at the Rosewood London.
A bunch of hotels in the Viceroy family (think Sugar Beach in St. Lucia, the Viceroy Santa Monica, and San Francisco’s Hotel Zetta) are offering up to 35 percent off. Valid through December 6 at noon EST, the deal varies hotel to hotel, with some offering discounts on stays through December 2022, while others limit dates between May and October. Chatham Bars Inn, Cape Cod, Massachusetts
A Readers’ Choice Award favorite set on 25 oceanfront acres, the Chatham Bars Inn has New England charm in spades. For Black Friday, the inn is offering 40 percent off select spring and fall dates next year. The sale runs through December 4, so you’ll have time to find the perfect weekend to plan a seaside getaway.
The Dive Motel & Swim Club, Nashville
The brainchild of Lyon Porter and Jersey Banks—the couple behind Urban Cowboy hotels—The Dive Motel is offering 30 percent stays between now and the end of February. Filled with Wes Anderson-like details, the motel is all about fun: each room has a discos ball you can turn on with the flick of a “Party Switch,” outdoor stage for live music, and a pool club that brings locals with membership passes to the deck each summer. Book by December 1 with promo code “BFCM2021” to get in on the action.
Planning a visit to a collegian in 2022 or looking to find the most well-designed place to stay in a college town? Graduate has you covered. The brand sets up shop near universities like Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi; Northwestern University in Evanston, just outside of Chicago; and UC Berkeley in northern California. From November 29 through December 3, Graduate is offering up to 50 percent off stays at all of its properties. And if you’re wondering why this is placed among the international hotels, the brand just opened locations near Oxford and the University of Cambridge, in the U.K. The sale applies to stays between now and March 31.
HarbourView Inn, Charleston, South Carolina
The HarbourView Inn is one of our readers’ favorite hotels in Charleston, thanks to its perfect location and private rooftop bar that’s only open to guests. Between Cyber Monday and December 5, you can get 20 percent off all stays through December 31, 2022. There are blackout dates, of course, but it’s fair game for most of the year. Be sure to take advantage of the complimentary hotel bikes to explore the city during your stay.
Hutton Hotel, Nashville
One of our favorite places to stay in Music City, the Hutton Hotel is offering 25 percent off stays of two nights or more between December 1 and March 31. Use the code “CHEERS” to get in on the deal, which lasts through December 1, and be sure to check out the hotel’s music club, Analog, during your stay. It has hosted acts like Maren Morris and Allen Stone, among others—you never know who’s going to show up at the songwriters’ nights.
Kaimana Beach Hotel, Oahu, Hawaii
After a delightfully colorful, boho-chic update in spring 2021, Kaimana Beach Hotel opened its revamped doors—and is now offering a 25 percent discount so you can check it our for yourself. The beachfront Waikiki property is offering discounts on stays between December 1, 2021 and December 31, 2022, with the promo code “CYBER2021.” The deal runs through November 30.
Mohonk Mountain House, New Paltz, New York
Filling an impressive Victorian castle set on a private lake in New York’s Hudson Valley, the Mohonk Mountain House is one of our readers’ favorites, winning five years of Readers’ Choice Awards in a row. Now, the mountain getaway is offering 40 percent off of midweek stays and 25 percent off of select weekend stays between January 2 and March 27, when the area is transformed into a winter wonderland. You’ll have until December 3 at 5 p.m. EST to book your discounted stay, which includes three meals daily, afternoon tea, and complimentary snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, hiking, and ice-skating excursions. Public Hotel, New York City
Public—whose Instagram-friendly escalators have been popping up on social media feeds since the day it opened—is offering 20 percent off its best available rates plus a whole slew of other perks, including a $30 daily credit for its restaurants and bars, priority reservations at those same spots, and guaranteed admission to the rooftop. The deal applies to stays between January 2 and March 30, and must be booked by November 30.
Rancho Bernardo Inn, San Diego, California
About 30 miles north of downtown San Diego, Rancho Bernardo Inn is the kind of place you plan an entire trip around—because you never really have to leave. With 265 manicured acres, large rooms, an excellent spa, an 18-hole Championship golf course, and two on-site restaurants, everything you need is within strolling distance. From November 15 to December 5, you can get up to 50 percent off the best available rate, plus a $50 daily dining credit to use at the aforementioned restaurants or the grab-and-go café. The deal is valid for travel through March 31.
Surf & Sand Resort, Laguna Beach, California
A five-time Readers’ Choice Award winner, the Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna Beach sits on 500 feet of shoreline. Book a spring vacation (the deal is valid for travel through March 31) to get 50 percent off the resort’s best available rate, plus with a $50 food and beverage credit for each day of your stay. The deal is good between November 15 and December 5, so you have a little time to decide which of the resort’s spa treatments you want to book alongside your room.
Virgin Voyages isn’t the only Branson joint offering a Black Friday promo. The group’s five hotels (in Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, New Orleans, and Las Vegas) are also offering a discount that extends well beyond Cyber Week. Travelers can save up to 25 percent on the best available rate for stays between November 26, 2021, and December 31, 2022—plus, two lucky travelers who book the deal will be upgraded to a penthouse each week. The deal lasts through the end of 2022, too, so you’ll have plenty of chance to cash in. Use promos code “CyberMonth” or head to Virgin’s dedicated sale site to book.
Clear, the expedited security service that uses biometrics like fingerprints and eye scans to help you move seamlessly through crowded airports, stadiums, and more, is offering a Cyber Week deal worth checking out. From Cyber Monday through December 3, Clear is offering new members one month free, plus you can add three free family members to your plan for your first year of membership. And if you buy a Clear Plus annual membership ($179), you’ll get a promo code to gift someone else six free months of the service. Register online and you can finish setting up your account on your flight home from Thanksgiving or flight to Christmas vacation, if you’re flying through a Clear-supported airport. Epic ski pass
Ok, so this deal isn’t exclusive to Cyber Monday but it’s worth checking out if you’re an avid skier: Through December 5, Epic passes are 20 percent off. The main Epic Pass is currently at $879 (usually $1,099) and offers you unlimited access—even during the holidays—to slopes at Colorado’s Vail and Breckenridge; Park City, Utah; and Canada’s Whistler Blackcomb, among others. Plus you’ll get discounted lift tickets for friends and family; 20 percent off food, lessons, and rentals; and limited access to resorts in Europe and Japan. You can also score the Epic Local pass for $679; the Northeast Value Pass for $511; and the Epic Day Pass, starting at $73 (usually starts at $92). Compare the passes on Epic’s site to find the best option for you. The passes go back to full price on December 5, so act fast if you’re looking for savings.
